Details

Carlu- La Marseillaise: the item presented for auction is an original Vintage Poster of French WWI propaganda (1914-1919). Wartime posters were mostly used to recruit men to the military cause. Many posters commonly urged wartime thrift, and were vocal in seeking funds from the general public via subscription to various war bond schemes (usually with great success). the lithograph measures 49 x 33 1/2 inches and is museum mounted on linen for preservation.
